A robot has been crowdsourcing messages of young people to The Houses of Parliament via the internet. The Voicebot is an industrial writing robot which, when connected to the internet writes out whatever messages are sent to it. It’s as quick as updating a Facebook status with a far more profound outcome! For the last two days The Voicebot has been delivering the messages that young people care about to our Members of Parliament.
Today is it’s last day in The Houses of Parliament, so send something salient if you get there in time but be sure to look at the previous submissions that have already gone through on the Voicebot’s Flickr page. The Voicebot installation is part of the Voicebox youth insight project commissioned by V the National Youth Volunteers Service. The aim of Voicebox is to help V and other volunteering organizations get a better understanding about youth in the UK so they can develop more relevant volunteering programmes.
